Lusha sells contact data by the credit: an email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5, with paid plans from $37.45 a month billed yearly. The alternatives differ in what they meter. Apollo charges per seat with credits, RocketReach caps exports, Clay meters Actions and Data Credits, and Buena is a flat membership for researched prospects and work emails.
This list of Lusha alternatives is written by one of the alternatives. To keep it useful, we have put ourselves last and kept to figures you can check.
We make Buena, one of the four alternatives below, so read this as a vendor's comparison. Every figure comes from each vendor's own pricing page, checked on September 30, 2026. We have not tested any vendor's data accuracy or coverage, and this page does not rank them on it.
What Lusha costs
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Credits and seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 40 credits a month; 1 seat |
| Starter | $37.45 a month | $49.90 a month | 4,800 credits a year on yearly billing, or 400 a month; 1 seat |
| Pro | From $52.45 a month | From $69.90 a month | From 7,200 credits a year on yearly billing, or 600 a month; 2 seats |
| Premium | From $299.95 a month | From $399.90 a month | From 40,800 credits a year on yearly billing, or 3,400 a month; 5 seats |
| Scale | Custom | Custom | Custom credits and seats |
Lusha labels yearly billing 25% off and grants a year's credits upfront. A verified email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5, so Starter's 4,800 yearly credits would cover at most 4,800 emails or 960 phone numbers, before the credits Lusha also charges for exports; that arithmetic is ours. Pro's and Premium's prices move with a credits slider, and the figures above are each plan's lowest setting.
On monthly billing, Lusha says Pro and Premium credits roll over up to twice the monthly amount. The Free plan needs no credit card.
The alternatives at a glance
| Tool | Lowest paid price | What that price buys | Phone numbers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apollo | Basic: $49 per seat a month billed annually, or $65 billed monthly | 30,000 credits per seat a year on annual billing, with a contact database, sequences and a dialer | 8 credits each |
| RocketReach | Essentials: $19 a month billed annually ($229 a year), or $39 billed monthly | Verified personal and professional emails: unlimited lookups and 1,200 exports a year on annual billing, or 100 of each a month on monthly billing | Not on Essentials; from Pro at $52 a month billed annually ($619 a year), or $79 billed monthly |
| Clay | Launch: from $167 a month billed annually, or $185 billed monthly | 15,000 actions and 2,500 data credits a month, with unlimited seats | Enrichment from the Launch plan |
| Buena | $97 a month plus applicable tax | 500 researched prospects and 500 verified work-email reveals a month, with drafted messages you review | Not included |
The prices are not like for like. A Lusha credit, an Apollo credit, a RocketReach export and a Clay data credit each buy something different, so compare what your own month would use, not the headline.
The table shows paid plans only. Apollo has a free plan with 75 credits per seat a month. RocketReach gives a free account 5 lookups. Clay has a free plan with 500 actions and 100 data credits a month. Buena has no free plan.
When Lusha is the better choice
- You look up contacts one at a time while you browse. Lusha lists a browser extension for LinkedIn, CRMs and any website.
- A small allowance that includes phone numbers is enough. Lusha's Free plan gives 40 credits a month with no credit card.
- You want both emails and phone numbers on every plan, including Free, without building anything.
Which alternative fits
- Apollo if you want the data, sequences and a dialer in one tool, with 30,000 credits per seat a year on Basic. Our Apollo pricing guide has the detail.
- RocketReach if you mostly need email lookups. Essentials has the lowest paid price of the four, but it has no phone numbers and caps exports at 1,200 a year on annual billing.
- Clay if you want to combine several data providers in workflows you build, and many people need access. Our Clay pricing guide explains its two meters.
- Buena if the contact detail is not the hard part and the message is. It researches each prospect, finds a reason to reach out, reveals a verified work email and drafts a message for you to review. It does not provide phone numbers.
When Buena is not the right fit
- You need more than 500 researched prospects a month, or several members on one plan. For teams, we scope a custom deployment instead.
- You don't use an AI service such as Claude Code or Codex. Buena works through your own AI service and does not include AI inference.
- You want to try the product before paying. The membership starts with your first payment.
