Clay has a free plan and two self-serve paid plans. Launch starts at $185 a month billed monthly ($167 billed annually) and Growth at $495 ($446 billed annually); Enterprise is custom. Each paid price is an Actions tier plus a Data Credits tier, and every plan comes with unlimited seats.
Clay's plan cards show one starting price, but each paid plan is built from two meters that you size separately. This page sets out the plans, the tiers behind the starting prices, and what rolls over.
We make Buena, a different kind of prospecting tool that some readers compare with Clay, so read this as a vendor's explainer. Every Clay figure comes from Clay's own pricing page, checked on September 30, 2026.
Clay's plans and prices
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Included each month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 500 actions and 100 data credits |
| Launch | From $185 a month | From $167 a month | From 15,000 actions and 2,500 data credits |
| Growth | From $495 a month | From $446 a month | From 40,000 actions and 6,000 data credits |
| Enterprise | Custom, with an annual commitment | Custom | 200,000 or more actions and 100,000 or more data credits |
Clay labels annual billing “Save 10%” and says annual plans receive all their credits up front. The plan cards offer a 14-day trial, and the Free plan already includes unlimited seats and tables, which the paid plans build on.
How the price is built: two meters
Clay describes Actions as the orchestration you do on Clay: “enriching data, running a table, calling an AI model, sending data to a third-party system, or exporting data out of Clay”. Data Credits are used “when you purchase data from Clay's marketplace”, such as emails, phone numbers and company data from its data partners.
Each paid plan card lists tiers for both meters, and the starting price is the two smallest tiers added together. On Launch billed monthly, that is $60 for 15,000 actions plus $125 for 2,500 data credits, which makes $185. On Growth it is $205 for 40,000 actions plus $290 for 6,000 data credits, which makes $495.
| Actions a month | Launch | Growth |
|---|---|---|
| 15,000 | $60 a month | Not listed |
| 40,000 | $150 a month | $205 a month |
| 60,000 | $200 a month | $290 a month |
| 100,000 | $290 a month | $450 a month |
| 200,000 | $540 a month | $850 a month |
| Data Credits a month | Launch | Growth |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 | $125 a month | Not listed |
| 6,000 | $290 a month | $290 a month |
| 10,000 | $460 a month | $460 a month |
| 20,000 | $880 a month | $880 a month |
| 50,000 | $2,125 a month | $2,125 a month |
Annual billing lists the same tiers by the year at a lower monthly rate. Launch's smallest annual tiers are 180,000 actions a year at $54 a month and 30,000 data credits a year at $113 a month, which makes $167.
What Actions and Data Credits cost
- Clay says Data Credits start at $0.05 each and get cheaper at higher tiers.
- Clay says Actions start at less than $0.01 each and get cheaper with scale within each plan.
- If an enrichment returns no result, Clay says you are charged neither Data Credits nor Actions.
- If you bring your own API key for a data provider, you skip Data Credits and use only Actions.
- AI has two prices. Clay says 80% of its models cost a flat number of Data Credits per task, while token-intensive models are charged by the tokens they use, with no markup.
The pricing page does not give a cost per enriched contact. That depends on which providers and models your table calls, so test a small table before you size a tier.
Rollover and top-ups
- Actions do not roll over. They reset each billing cycle. If you reach the limit, you move to the next Actions tier.
- Data Credits do roll over, up to a cap. Clay's FAQ says that on Launch and Growth unused credits can build up to twice your monthly amount; its example is a 10,000-credit plan banking up to 20,000. Its comparison table puts the rollover at up to one month's credits on monthly billing and 15% of annual credits on annual billing.
- Top-ups cost more. On Launch and Growth, Clay lists extra credits at a 30% premium. Enterprise top-ups are custom priced.
- Enterprise is negotiated. Clay's FAQ says Enterprise customers can roll over up to 15% of the prior year's purchased credits if they renew at an equal or higher commitment; its comparison table lists Enterprise rollover as Custom.
What it costs in a year
| Plan and billing | Starting price | Over 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Launch, billed monthly | $185 a month | $2,220 |
| Launch, billed annually | $167 a month | $2,004 |
| Growth, billed monthly | $495 a month | $5,940 |
| Growth, billed annually | $446 a month | $5,352 |
These totals are our arithmetic from Clay's listed starting prices. They rise with every tier you add on either meter.
What each plan adds
- Free: unlimited seats and tables, multi-provider waterfalls, Claygent enrichment and up to 200 rows per table. Clay notes that the Free plan does not include phone number enrichment. Its FAQ lists Clay Sequencer for email on Free, while its plan table shows email campaigns from Launch.
- Launch: phone number enrichment, job change and signal tracking, email campaign integrations and up to 50,000 rows per table.
- Growth: CRM auto-sync and enrichment, HTTP API integrations, webhooks, web intent signals, audience pushes to ad platforms and priority support.
- Enterprise: SSO, role-based access control, Clay API access and a dedicated growth strategist.
How this compares with Buena
Clay and Buena are priced differently because they do different jobs. Clay gives you tables, data providers and two meters to build your own prospecting workflow, for as many people as you like. Buena is one membership at $97/month plus applicable tax for one member: 500 researched prospects and 500 verified work-email reveals a month, with extra reveals in $29 packs of 250. Your AI service is billed separately by your provider.
On price alone, Clay's Free plan costs less than Buena and Launch costs more. If someone on your team will build and maintain enrichment workflows, Clay is the better fit. If you want researched prospects and drafted messages without building a workflow first, that is what Buena's membership covers. Our Clay comparison sets out when each is the better choice.
